Changing Century of the Elwha River

Join University of Washington researcher, Tom O’Keefe for a weekend of field tours, insight and discussion on the largest dam removal project in U.S. history, and explore the implications for future restoration efforts. Field trips will include hiking in the upper Elwha valley, viewing the dams, and visiting the mouth of the river. At the mouth of the river, meet a representative from the Lower Elwha S’Klallam Tribe to hear a perspective on the opportunity dam removal will provide.  Go to OPI's website for up to date information and access to registration.
